Level 3

  • Researching technology that can affect physical and chemical change in the disposal or recycling of waste.


Level 4

  • Investigating the effect of the physical and chemical properties of substances on people and the environment. Explaining how rates of reaction can be changed to help the environment.

  • Be able to investigate the positive and negative aspects of adding chemicals to materials.

  • Be able to explore how members of the class react to certain foods, discuss the findings, and suggest possible links between these foods and certain effects on people.

  • Technology: Describe and identify the positive and negative effects of some instances of technologies on people’s lives and the environment eg. the effects of fast ferries on shorelines.
