  • Be able to investigate and describe the reactions of a group of substances known to be acids or carbonates and then devise a method of classifying unknown materials as either acids or carbonates.

  • Be able to investigate and group different types of materials in terms of their properties such as degree of solubility, melting point, or acidity.

Level 4

  • Investigating and grouping common acids and bases, using physical and chemical properties.

  • Health and Physical Education: Identify and use safe practices and basic risk-management strategies eg. Managing risks in both the natural and built environments
